VDS installation

First steps

The Vessel Display System application is installed by the REEF OS IT representative. There are two options how the application gets installed and ready at your vessel:

• If you are using your own Android device - our IT representative will come to your vessel, install the application, and prepare it for the first run. 
• If REEF OS is supplying Android device for your vessel - our dedicated team member will bring the device to your vessel with the VDS already installed. 

Connecting the device to the internet

Once the application has been successfully installed on the device, our representative will connect it to the internet at your vessel. This may involve several steps depending on the security of the provided network. 

Final verification

Once the internet connection has been established, testing orders will be sent to verify the connection and correct configuration. After successfull verification and receipt of the orders your VDS will be ready to receive orders.
